We offer a flat rate of $20.00 a month for web hosting services. All optional services are priced below. Click here to sign up.
Standard Services
- No setup fees
- 35 MB Disk Space Storage — The total disk space storage, listed in megabytes, for all HTML and related website files, e-mails, log files, and stats.
- 5 GB Network Transfer — Network Transfer is the total amount of of data sent to and from your hosting service in any given month (often referred to as 'bandwidth'). Imaginary Idea offers generous amounts of network transfer as demanded by the type of clients we host.
- 10 E-mail Accounts/50 E-mail Addresses — Our versatile email system permits a site owner to create numerous actual, aliased, and role-based email addresses. E-mail features include POP/IMAP, Anti-SPAM filters, web based email, SMTP Authentication, Multiple Aliases, Forwarders, and Auto-responders.
- Redundant Connectivity — Our hosting services are connected to the Internet multiple ways using a variety of carriers and network providers. We call this "bandwidth blending" — a unique aspect of our service that eliminates most common network and downtime issues caused by congestion, and failure.
- Uptime Guarantee — Our core network guaranteed to be fully functional and packet-loss free at all times 24 hours day. If a site owner experiences a network problem that is the fault of Imaginary Idea we will happily refund the full amount of service fees for the days in which the failure occur.
- Data Backup — All accounts are on the backup network. Your data is saved on a daily basis by our robotic tape backup system. In the unlikely event of a disk failure, we can quickly restore users' data.
- Password Protected Directories — For a given directory, you can allow access to as many or as few people as you like.
- PHP - PHP, the "PHP Hypertext Preprocessor" is a widely used general-purpose scripting language that is especially well suited for web development and is embedded into HTML.
- Perl/Mod Perl — Perl is the most popular web programming language on the Internet today due to its text manipulation capabilities and rapid development cycle. Itis widely known as "the duct-tape of the Internet". Perl can handle encrypted web data, including e-commerce transactions.
- Full CGI-BIN — The CGI-BIN is a special area on the web server where PERL scripts are placed for correct execution.

- Add-On 5 GB Network Transfer ($8.00/month)— Site traffic increased? Site owners requiring more network transfer capacity can simply add-on network transfer as needed.
- Add-On 10 E-mail Accounts/50 E-mail Addresses ($8.00/month) — Need more e-mail accounts and addresses? Site owners requiring more e-mail accounts and addresses can simply add-on as needed.
Optional Services
- Domain Name Registration ($10/year) — The domain will be registered on your behalf and automatically associated with your hosting service. Domains can be modified at any time at your request. Registration automatically renews each year. We currently register .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO domain names.
- Movable Type Blog Publishing Software ($8.00/month) — A powerful, customizable publishing system that allows you to manage and update weblogs, journals, and frequently-updated website content. Movable Type is widely recognized as the premiere choice for power users of weblogs, as well as organizations interested in nanopublishing, intranet knowledge management, and marketing or communications through weblogs.
- Quicktime Streaming Server ($8.00/month) — Apple's Darwin streaming server is available. This allows our customers to stream Quicktime multimedia files to end viewers for high impact presentations.
- Full SSL Certificate ($8.00/month) — If you have already purchased an SSL certificate for your domain, you can easily import it to your server using your web control panel. After a server restart, this will allow you to securely access your site's contents at the https://www.yourdomain.com URL
- Miva Merchant ($15.00/month + $100 Setup Fee) — As an add-on feature, you can have the award winning Miva Merchant E-Commerce system installed on your shared account. This will allow you to set up shopping carts, define checkout procedures, and take orders through your website. This includes a browser-based interface for maintaining your storefront catalog.
